This spring of 2024, 14 municipalities in the Brussels Region will welcome mobile Recyparks, as part of the Bruxelles Proprete's regional urban cleaning strategy. This itinerant system, which will run until early summer, emphasises sorting and reuse and fosters collaboration with social economy actors for the second consecutive year.

In 2023, the Bruxelles Proprete noted an increase in collected quantities during the operation. 1 780 tonnes of waste were collected compared to 1 685 in 2022, with bulky items taking the lead at 1 490 tonnes, followed by electrical and electronic waste at 186 tonnes, and finally small domestic chemical waste at 103 tonnes. With the introduction of these mobile Recyparks, Bruxelles-Propreté aims to increase the percentage of collected items that can be prepared for reuse.
