Often perceived as an ally, digital technology is also, and above all, a millstone around the neck of environmental and social transitions. Brussels Environment received the Level 2 (highest) of the Responsible Digital label from an independent committee of experts. This is an encouraging result for the many efforts undertaken over the past 3 years within the organization to guarantee a sufficient, inclusive and ethical digital environment. As a member of the Belgian Institute for Responsible Digital, Brussels Environment is taking advantage of the many tools available to extend its responsible digital approach. It plays an active role in several working groups set by regional coordinating bodies on digital responsibility: data governance, the digital appropriation plan, the responsible digital initiative, etc.
