Main aims:

  1. Drawing up recommendations on how to fix benchmarks, quantifiable targets and guidelines
  2. Allowing reflection and support for building projects between or by the participants

4 topics for discussion and reflection have been identified:

  1. Fighting food waste (at the level of citizens, schools, canteens, supermarkets and restaurants)
  2. Composting at source: home Composting
  3. Composting at source: Community Composting
  4. Composting at source: On-site Composting (public green spaces).

PRESENTATIONS

During this first meeting, a draft document on organic waste prevention, produced by ACR+ in collaboration with LIPOR, was used as a basis for discussions, together with presentations on the subject. The key aspect of the final report will be to summarize recommendations on waste prevention on how to fix benchmarks, quantifiable targets and guidelines at European level. A final report will be made available to the Campaign participants by the end of May 2008.
