Organized by the Municipality of Mahdia, the Brussels-Capital
Region and ACR+,
in the framework of the SHAMS project (www.medpact-shams.net) funded
by the MED-PACT programme of the European Union
This event will focus on the initiatives implemented at the
European and Tunisian levels to support local authorities in the
field of sustainable development and to foster information exchange
among cities in terms of sustainable urban development,
particularly in relation with tourism. Then, moving on to waste
management more specifically, the emphasis will be placed on two
major pillars of sustainable development: producer responsibility
and raising consumer awareness.
