ACR+ Declaration of political support
ACR+ HAS WRITTEN A “DECLARATION OF SUPPORT” WHICH AIMS TO GATHER EXPRESSIONS OF SUPPORT FROM RELEVANT PERSONALITIES AT DIFFERENT LEVELS OF THE POLITICAL OR SCIENTIFIC FIELD
The text focuses on our two main projects for the next years, one on waste prevention and the other on recycling:

the European Week for Waste Reduction
- To raise awareness about waste reduction strategies
- To promote actions towards sustainable waste reduction across Europe
- To highlight the work accomplished by various actors, through concrete examples of waste reduction
- To encourage change in the behaviour of Europeans (consumption, production) in everyday life

- the European Decentralised Observatory for Municipal Waste Performances
- To develop a permanent European Observatory on municipal waste performances
- To create a more transparent and effective collection of waste and recycling data
- To allow waste and recycling benchmarking and sharing of best practices amongst regional and local authorities
- To monitor EU, national and local targets
