The EPR Club was created as an ACR+ initiative supported financially and technically by ACR+ members. Today the EPR Club has an open membership gathering a wide range of stakeholders, including public authorities, producer organisations, industry federations, waste management companies, NGOs.

The EPR Club is a multi-stakeholder platform for exchange of knowledge and dissemination of good EPR practices amongst key European stakeholders and experts, including the European institutions. The aim is to foster dialogue on policy developments and technical implementation of EPR schemes in order to bring forward European legislation and policy on EPR.

The EPR Club was launched in June 2012, with the support of the European Commission.

  • Lunch debate: Eco-modulation of EPR fees – setting the right incentives for eco-design and circular solutions | 5 March 2018, Brussels

The EPR Club lunch debate, hosted by DSD, EXPRA and SUEZ focused on several key aspects of eco-modulation of EPR fees as an instrument to improve eco-design of packaging and products. The event gathered different actors along the value chain to discuss possible solutions and provide input to the current developments and shaping of the European policy and legislation in this field.

  • The EPR Club as a reference point for EPR issues in Europe

During the last annual EPR Club Planning meeting, in December 2017, attending members reiterated the vision of the EPR Club becoming a true reference point for EPR issues in Europe and confirmed their commitment to contribute to developing the EPR Club as a competence and knowledge centre on EPR.
