INTHERWASTE EU FLAG

The INTHERWASTE project Interregional Environmental Integration of Waste Management in European Heritage Cities –, aims to foster the exchange of experience and polices for efficient and sustainable waste management in European Heritage Cities.

Project funded under the European Regional Development Fund.

Highlights

The partners ended the first phase of the project this spring. After three years of intense exchange of experiences, the project partners finalised their action plans in March. They will now implement and monitor them until the end of the project in 2021. The plans comprise of a few best practices encountered over the course of the project, which will be financed and carried out by each participating municipality. The 50 best practices in waste management in urban heritage sites identified by the project partners are now gathered in a handbook.

The activities and results of the first phase are summarised in a second brochure. It also features some of the 50 good practices analysed by the project partners.
