On 27-28 September 2016, the IMPACTPapeRec project consortium held its second General Assembly meeting in Budapest, Hungary. The meeting was an occasion for the different partners to meet and discuss the work conducted during the first six months of the project. The two-day meeting included a guided tour of the Hamburger Recycling Paper Mill in Dunajvaros.

ACR+ is the leader of a work package on best practice identification and assessment and is further involved in several communication activities throughout the project. In the end of the summer ACR+ submitted a first major deliverable which consisted of a report on separate collection of paper for recycling. The report was an outcome of an extensive quantitative and qualitative data collection and presents key information on 13 case study territories. The results of the report were discussed in a series of interactive workshops during the meeting in Budapest, with the participation of all project partners.

In the upcoming month, the partners will further work on the evaluation methodology needed for the drafting of the best practice handbook to support European municipalities in the implementation of best collection procedures.

The next meeting of project partners will take place at the end of January 2017 in Barcelona, Spain. It will be combined with an Open Conference in which interested ACR+ members are warmly welcome to participate.
