Awards ceremony in March 2010
The awards ceremony of the European Week for Waste Reduction 2009 edition took place on Monday March 15, 2010 in Brussels in front of several personalities and numerous participants from all across Europe.
The ceremony rewarded the 6 most exemplary actions for their awareness raising actions on waste reduction in each of the 5 project categories and the "jury’s favourite" category:
- Category “Administration & Public Authority”: “Let’s do it with Freda” (Estonia).
- Category “Association & NGO”: “Enrenou de Roba” (Spain).
- Category “Business & Industry”: “Eurest reduces waist” (Sweden).
- Category “Educational Establishment”, “You Make The Difference” (Italy)
- Category “Parish action on Waste Reduction” (Portugal).
- Jury’s Favourite Award: “Welcome to Poubellec’h” (France).
For the record, more than 2760 actions were implemented in 14 European countries during the 2009 edition of the Week. We hope to do even better this year!
