ACR+ member, the Catalan Waste Agency (ARC) has recently awarded grants, totalling more than 2.7 million euros, to Catalan authorities and organisations for the improvement of various aspects of waste management. Non-profit organisations and universities will also be among the grant beneficiaries.
The grants cover projects targeting; prevention, preparation for re-use, food waste, selective collection, organic waste management and composting. 37% of funds from the national PIMA Waste plan have been awarded to Cataluña, and of the total 8.2 million euros, 3 million will be used to finance Catalan projects.
