On 9 October 2018, ACR+ and its member Cleantech Region together with Arnhem Nijmegen City Region and Zwolle organised a conference “The role of regions in the transition towards a Circular Economy”. Taking place during the European Week of Regions and Cities, the event focusd on three pillars: information, inspiration and activation of the field of circular economy.

The themes of the conference included:

• Local and inter-regional cooperation pushing for territorial and value-chain symbioses
• Supporting the circular economy with public procurement
• Incentivising circular business models by true pricing
• Making more of the bin and addressing challenging waste fractions
