EWWR EN upcoming

The EWWR 2016 Awards Ceremony took place on 18 May 2017 at Casa Llotja de Mar in Barcelona as part of the final LIFE+ EWWR International Conference. There, the EWWR Jury rewarded the most outstanding actions of the edition 2016. Six winners were awarded, one in each of the Action Developer categories. They all happily came on stage to accept their well-deserved prizes.

Here are the winners of the EWWR 2016 per category:

2.    Association/NGO: Zero Waste EWWR in Végegyháza - Barangoló Közhasznú Egyesület (Hungary)
3.    Business/Industry: Jo em comprometo! (I commit myself!) - Caprabo (Catalonia, Spain)
4.    Educational Establishment: Un jardín para todos (A garden for everyone) - Ikastola Iparragirre (Basque Country, Spain)
5.    Citizen(s): The experiment "Yellow bag" - Evelyn Spillmann (Germany)
6.    Other: Systemic Food Design - University of Gastronomic Sciences (Italy)

The EWWR Awards Ceremony was a highlight of the international conference "Qualitative prevention, a new approach towards the circular economy", organised by the Catalan Waste Agency in collaboration with ACR+. During this event, many EWWR coordinators presented best practices on waste prevention that were organised on their territories during the EWWR. This was a fantastic opportunity to show the work achieved locally by all actors involved in the project and celebrate the last Awards ceremony under the LIFE+ financing, before starting the next step of the EWWR journey.
