ACR+ as a member of the advisory board of the SCREEN project (Synergic Circular Economy Across European Regions) has the pleasure to announce the publication of the first newsletter of the project.

This newsletter provides an overview of the project’s objectives as well as the most recent developments. In particular, it presents the two tools that have already been produced and are continuously improved on the basis of the discussion within the project:

  • Tool for the analysis of regional existing capabilities, specifically developed for a friendly use by both regions that do not have specific experience in   these   kinds   of   analyses and   more   advanced regions;
  • SYNERGY GRIDS - A guideline to identify cross regional potential synergies.

These tools could be very helpful to support the building of cooperation between ACR+ members, for the preparation of EU funded projects or other kinds of cooperation. Interested members are invited to get in touch with ACR+ Secretariat.

A wide European partnership (including ACR+ member ORDIF – representing Île-de-France region) is involved in the SCREEN project. ACR+ is in particular active in the SCREEN Policy Lab, a table of discussion participated by the project partners, the Advisory Board and those European Commission Services concerned with Circular Economy, Smart Specialisation strategies and synergies between H2020 and Regional funds. Policy Lab has periodic physical meetings and a continuous discussion space in a specific LinkedIn Group; the discussion is focused on three main aspects:

  • New methodology and tools developed by the project;
  • Innovative and synergic use of different funds for circular economy projects;
  • Common additional assessment criteria for projects dealing with Circular Economy.

Reference documents, agenda and minutes of the Policy Lab meetings are available at www.screen-lab.eu/policy-lab.
