With less than 2 weeks left to register for the upcoming 9th edition of the European Week for Waste Reduction, the EWWR has just published its newsletter. You are invited to register your initiatives by 12 November. Then, between 18 and 26 November, organise your action during the biggest EU-wide campaign on waste reduction.
The Thematic Focus for the EWWR 2017 puts the spotlight on one of the easiest but very important ways to prevent waste: reuse with a twist of repair. Beneficial for the waste reduction and the environment, reuse and repair activities also bring communities together and help create special bonds among colleagues, neighbours and friends. To assist you in the organisation of such events, the EWWR have developed several factsheets, notably on setting up a give box as well as organising reuse workshop.
This year the EWWR is also putting a special focus on encouraging actions with a European Spirit, for instance actions taking place in several countries. As such, we encourage you to reach out to organizations working on similar issues in another country and join forces in order to reduce waste together!
