On 11 October 2018, ACR+ co-hosted with its member OVAM, the European Economic and Social Committee, the Council of European Municipalities and Regions and Eurocities an Urban Agenda workshop on circular cities to present the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform (ECESP). Some of the observations and conclusions drawn from the exchange are the following:

  • Communication must be promoted to exchange ideas and knowledge;
  • A "Governance" tag could be added in the Key Area field to ensure cases useful to local and other public authorities are easily found;
  • A specific entrance on the homepage for each target group (cities, business, researchers, other) would be a real advantage;
  • Good Practices could include more information regarding funding sources and project financing to help attract investment and accelerate implementation;
  • Number of (mandatory) fields is far too high and prevents stakeholders from uploading their cases.

As a next step and to improve the website’s user experience, the ECESP Secretariat is calling for feedback on the ECESP website to tailor it to further meet stakeholder needs. Your circular best practices can be submitted for publication here, while this survey allows you to provide direct input regarding the process of submitting good practices to ECESP.
