On 12-15 March 2019, representatives of the URBAN-WASTE pilot cities and regions gathered for the last project meeting before the Final Conference in Brussels on 7 May 2019. Participants met in Dubrovnik, Croatia for the final impact assessment of their strategies in order to ensure that project outcomes have measurable benefits.
 
Representatives of the 11 pilot cities and regions discussed the environmental, social and economic impacts their measures and strategies had locally during group discussions. In the same format, they also discussed challenges and success indicators that could be used when replicating these measures.
 
At the same gathering, a mutual learning event on waste management in UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as host city Dubrovnik, took place. Two INTHERWASTE pilot cities that also have this designation, Porto and Eivissa, participated in this session to share their examples of good practices and strategies.
