We warmly invite you to provide input as the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) prepares an Opinion on the role of local and regional authorities in the transition towards a circular economy. To gather diverse perspectives to shape this opinion, the CoR is organising a consultation on 5 March. The different actors will reflect on different areas related to a circular model, including supporting local stakeholders, developing local strategies, and circular/green public procurement for local and regional authorities: opportunities and challenges.
We encourage our members to register for the event by 29 February 2024, and to submit written contributions to enrich the discussions. The outcomes of this consultation will inform the drafting of a comprehensive opinion, expected to undergo final discussion in April and formal approval during the CoR plenary session in June 2024.
