The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation is nearing the finish line! The interinstitutional negotiations came to an end on 4 March after the Council and the Parliament reached an agreement during a trilogue. The two institutions now must endorse the position. Last Friday, on 15 March, the Council's main preparatory body Coreper reached an agreement which will soon be submitted to the Council for adoption. On Tuesday 19 March, the ENVI Committee of the European Parliament will vote on the provisional agreement issued during the trilogue. The Parliament will then vote on the report during its final plenary session before the elections, from 22 April to 25 April.
