Decoset 80x

On 04 May 2017, Institut national des sciences appliquées (INSA) of Toulouse hosted a workshop of the innovation club "LA MINE", on the initiative of ACR+ member Decoset. The innovation club “LA MINE” – a key part of Decoset’s action plan “Territories Zero Waste Zero Wastage”  2017-2019 – is a network aiming to foster innovating solutions through the collaborations of public authorities, economic actors, researchers as well as public institutions. Earlier in 2016, these players had identified bio-waste as a key topic for a better waste management. Thus, this event focused on bio-waste, and in particular on its sorting.

During this workshop, participants from different horizons and with different competencies met and discussed barriers and opportunities to innovation in the field of bio-waste. The interactions during the workshop produced more than hundred new ideas concerning sorting of bio-waste. During the next stage Decoset and its partners will select ten initiatives that are most original, but also feasible and have a potential to increase sorting of bio-waste. These initiatives will then be experimented on the field.
