ACR+ member Nantes Métropole will hold the Assises Nationales des Déchets (National Forum on Waste Management), on 27 and 28 September 2017.

This year, the Assises des Déchets will highlight innovative projects. Thierry Meunier, President of the Assises Nationales des Déchets noted that in an open and competitive economic environment, and in the waste sector in particular due to the declared national ambition and policies, economic and social agility is critical. Thereby, the event provides an excellent forum to support and reinforce the visibility of the most innovative waste management ideas and proposals. That is why, they have decided to invite project developers to showcase their work. Following a national call, over twenty proposals were received, falling in three categories:

  • prevention and recyclability;
  • societal awareness;
  • digital initiatives.

The jury, representing a wide range of public and private waste stakeholders, has chosen 9 most promising projects. The emphasis was put on the innovative nature of the project and its potential to cause a lasting and sustainable change. The selected projects will have the possibility to present their initiatives in a limited time of three minutes, named “speed meeting”. Following the presentation, the participants will be able to cast their votes and select three winners, one in each category.
