ACR+ member North London Waste Authority (NLWA) is organising a webinar "Planning a food waste prevention programme: priorities, actions and monitoring based on Defra’s 4E’s model” in partnership with Ricardo, global strategic engineering and environmental consultancy, as a follow up to the Waste Prevention Exchange 2017. The webinar focusing a food waste prevention programme planning based on Defra’s 4Es model (Enable, Encourage, Engage, Exemplify) will take place on 15 May 2018, 12:00-13:00 CEST.

Tailored for local authorities, the webinar will explore ways in which residents can be engaged, encouraged and enabled to reduce food waste. The webinar will shed light on:

  • North London Waste Authority’s experience in tackling the issue of food waste and their extensive food prevention programme;
  • Useful tips and advice with regards to key aspect to consider when planning a food waste reduction programme;
  • Real-world examples of initiatives that have been implemented by other councils in UK to successfully reduce food waste;
  • The different ways residents can be engaged.
