Paris 80px

In the framework of the “Cleaner Paris” project, three different model compact bins will be installed in the most touristic district of the ACR+ member Paris. These new bins run on solar power energy and can compact up to 600 litres of waste, which is five times more than a regular street bin. A total of 42 bins (14 in each model) will be installed in the city. At the end of the testing period, Paris municipality will launch a call for contract with specific requirements for the bins.

The key objectives of the Paris Cleanliness plan is to avoid having overfilled garbage bins, optimise collection  rounds, reduce waste collection costs, reduce CO2 emissions and generally have a cleaner city.
