ACR+ member the Catalan Waste Agency (ARC) has opened a call for subsidies to promote the selective collection of the organic fraction of municipal waste. The maximum estimated amount of the call is 2 million euros. The grants will be allocated to two lines of projects: one for public authorities and the other for private companies and public universities.
75% of the subsidies (1.5 million euros) will be targeting public authorities to promote public service for the selective collection of the organic fraction through:
- Projects dealing with the implementation or extension of the selective collection of the organic fraction and of self-composting as the exclusive way of management;
- Projects to improve the public service for the selective collection of the organic fraction, vegetable fraction and self-composting as a complementary possibility of management;
- Evaluation of the public service of selective collection and development of action plans for a new implementation, extension or improvement;
- Singular projects of general interest that promote the management of this fraction of waste within a circular economy model.
