A new grant scheme has been introduced under the 2023 National Litter and Flytipping Strategy, allocating GBP 50 000 (EUR 57 174) to assist private landowners in preventing flytipping. Administered by ACR+ member Zero Waste Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, the fund aims to support innovative projects that will prevent flytipping on private land; engage local communities; facilitate the reporting of flytipping and enforcement of existing penalties; and have social, environmental, and economic benefits.
