On 26 and 27 October, the first Zero Waste Festival was held under the motto "Step into the future", organised by ACR+ member Rezero and with the support of ACR+ member Catalan Waste Agency (ARC).

Over two days, attendees had the opportunity to listen to presentations and participate in dynamic debate sessions aimed at generating reflection and inspiration for innovative solutions to advance towards a society without waste. Conference topics included Europe's role in transitioning to a disposable-free world, especially regarding plastics, and the impact of reusing packaging in distribution. There were also dynamic sessions focusing on practical cases such as take-away packaging, reusable healthcare textiles, and the role of local businesses in a zero-waste society. Additionally, the Rezero Awards recognised outstanding initiatives in Catalonia in waste prevention and the promotion of responsible consumption.
