Over 700 professionals from companies, public administrations, public-private consortia and waste management experts gathered in Barcelona to share experiences and advance the circular economy of resources with a forward-looking perspective at the seventh edition of the RECUWASTE congress. Organised by Maresme Circular and supported by ACR+ member the Catalan Waste Agency (ARC), the congress focused on resource economy, addressing material crisis, energy and decarbonisation in waste management processes. There was consensus on the need for increased public awareness regarding textiles as municipal waste. ARC presented " The Circular Fashion Pact" and its evolution, emphasising the importance of circular practices in the fashion industry.
