The Government of Navarra endorsed the revision of the Navarra Waste Plan. The updated plan, with key objectives for the year 2027, aims to halve the disposal of household waste. Currently, 48% of household waste in Navarra is deposited in landfills, the plan seeks to reduce this percentage to 25% in the next four years. To achieve this goal, the plan includes improvement actions for the treatment of specific waste streams such as oils, batteries, packaging or mixed fractions. It emphasises the need to enhance waste reduction, especially in food and single-use plastics, and to advance the principle of pay-as-you-throw to promote prevention.

A digital platform aims to monitor the Navarra Waste Plan, providing a comprehensive dashboard with indicators, data and trends in Navarra. It includes information on waste inventories, production and management records, along with various related documentation.
