In 2015, 4579 tonnes of WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) were collected via 5 centres in Wallonia and Brussels, specialising in the reutilisation of electrical household goods. Grouped under the label electroREV these reutilisation centres follow a strict methodology that imposes controls in order to provide second hand material of high quality that has been reviewed and has a guarantee of 1 year. In addition, these social economy enterprises contribute to social inclusion via the training of over 230 trainees and by creating employment for 215 people furthest away from the traditional labour market. But the sector can do better.
