ACR+ Member North London Waste Authority will be holding its first ever London Upcycling Show, on 30 November 2016 at Walthamstow Assembly Hall.

Many activities will be organized during the event, including upcycling demonstrations, workshops and a range of exhibitors, providing advice and ideas as well as selling upcycled items, and gourmet canapés made from surplus food will be prepared.

Winners for the north London upcycling competition will also be announced. Residents, families or community groups were invited to upcycle a piece of furniture to be in with a chance to win £200 vouchers.

The Upcycling Show is organised as part of European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) 2016. If you are also developing an action for the EWWR this year and would like to see it promoted in the Newsline, contact ACR+ Secretariat.

Each year, many ACR+ Members get involved in the EWWR through the organisation of action on waste reduction. For the 2016 edition, 9 ACR+ Members also took on the role of national and regional EWWR Coordinators: ARC, Bamee, Brussels Environment, LIPOR, Residuos do Nordeste, Wallonia, Waste Serv Malta, WRAP Northen Ireland and Zero Waste Scotland.
