The European Commission has launched several public consultations relevant for the circular economy. ACR+ will participate in these consultations. - Polluter-Pays-Principle: the Commission is carrying out a fitness check to assess how well the EU applies this principle through its policies. The consultation can be accessed here; it closes on 4 August 2023.
- Export of hazardous chemicals: the Commission is preparing an initiative to prohibit production and/or export of certain hazardous chemicals that are banned in the EU. The consultation can be accessed here; it closes on 31 July 2023.
- EU Climate Target 2040: The European Climate Law mandates the Commission to come forward with a climate target for 2040. Provide your views on these intermediary targets through the consultation! More information and the link to the consultation can be found here; it closes on 24 June 2023.
