As part of the BRINC project, ACR+ is organising an online workshop a workshop giving the opportunity to the Catalan Health Institute (ICS) to present their tendering process to recycle and reuse their sanitary waste and offer a space to gather insights from other participants to improve its tendering process. In the eight hospitals managed by ICS, thousands of gowns, aprons and surgical sheets, along with millions of masks and gloves are sent to landfills for incineration every month, in spite of the high value and potential for recovery of these materials. Mindful of this, the ICS is now looking for ways to reuse or recycle these large amounts of sanitary waste through public procurement.

Join this workshop on the 28 of June from 15:30 to 16:30 CET to learn more about the environmental impact of healthcare waste and contribute to the ongoing efforts by ICS to implement sustainable practices in the procurement of these essential materials.
