As part of its waste prevention and reduction policy, ACR+ member Calitom subsidizes the rental and purchase of reusable nappies. In France, families produce more than 900 kg of disposable nappies for a child until they are 2.5 years old. In comparison, 281 kg of waste is produced by opting for an alternative - cloth nappies.

To encourage the use of cloth nappies, Calitom offers subsidies for renting and purchasing cloth nappieskits. As part of this programme, the organisation reimburses the rental cost (up to EUR 30) of washable diapersrequired for a one-month period.  Likewise, it offers a partial reimbursement of the purchasing cost (up to EUR 80).
