On the occasion of Cleanliness Week, ACR+ member Liege presented its strategy to become a zero-waste city.

To realise this ambition, the strategy focuses on four main axes: (1) the end of single-use plastic items in all sectors (including non-compliance sanctions), (2) awareness raising activities for inhabitants of the districts and the valorisation of local zero waste actors, (3) a general support during events to make paper, plastics, metals, drinking packages, and organic containers available and to use alternatives to single-use plastic, (4) a personalised support by type of stakeholder (shops, market and fairs, school, nursery) to fight against food waste, disposable plastic and to improve sorting.
