For 2019, ACR+ member North London Waste Authority organised its annual conference on the topic of reuse, looking at how it is possible to move away from single use products and drive towards a circular economy. Taking place on 15 March 2019, this edition of the North London Waste Prevention Exchange covered topics such as the psychology of reuse and the challenges and opportunities linked to reuse.

Speakers for the event included Margaret Bates, Professor of Sustainable Wastes Management, University of Northampton, who presented on reuse in the circular economy, and Lisa Foster from Coca Cola, who presented on the role of company chains in moving away from single use plastic to reusable products. The afternoon consisted of a workshop led by Ricardo AEA and focusing on what local authorities can do to tackle single use plastics in the context of the circular economy.
