ACR+ and Covenant of Mayors organised a Webinar on “Reducing CO2 emissions through sustainable material resource management”. This webinar demonstrated how sustainable material resource management (including waste prevention) can help cities reducing their CO2 emissions and therefore, reach the targets defined in their Sustainable Energy (and Climate) Action Plans. The Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy brings together local authorities committed to climate change mitigation and adaptation. In 2015, ACR+ and Zero Waste Europe commissioned a study realized by Eunomia on The Potential Contribution of Waste Management to a Low Carbon Economy.
