ACR+ is partner of the 8th edition of the South-East European event on waste management and recycling (SEE) which was held from 7 till 9 March 2017 at the Inter Expo Centre in Sofia.

Nowadays the EU environmental priority is focused on turning Europe's linear economy into a circular economy, where waste is virtually eliminated and resources are continuously re-used and recycled. For the implementation of the EU targets, business and non-governmental sector will be able to join the circular economy through projects funded under Operational Programs 'Environment' and 'Competitiveness', as well as the municipal and central government budgets. The relevant Ministries in the SEE countries direct their policies to measures aimed at 'prevention of waste production and reinforcing the responsibility of waste producers.

Following these environmental issues, SEE 'Save the Planet' keeps on responding to the latest trends in the sector and continues being a cross point among local and international players.

Among the SEE Conference'17 topics, there was: Circular Economy Aims and their Achievement; Plastic Recycling and the New Plastics Economy; How to Utilize Waste in Agriculture, Wastewater plants.
