The FISSAC project will organise a site visit to the industrial symbiosis project “Manresa en Simbiosis” on 16 May 2017. This pilot project en Catalonia is one of the three study cases of the FISSAC project.

The Manresa project follows a cooperative approach to exchange resources, giving support for transactions through a trusted third party via the animation of a synergy web platform. The third party in question is Símbiosy, one of the FISSAC partners, and experts in the design of industrial symbiosis strategies. This pilot project hopes to strengthen Manresa’s industrial network and it can count on the support of the municipality, which has a key role promoting local industrial symbiosis. Indeed, the project promoters are the Manresa City Council and the Catalan Waste Agency, member of the board of ACR+.

Although, this event is not open to the general public we invite our members to get in touch with Fiona Craddock (fc@acrplus.org) if they are interested to participate. The language spoken during the visit will be Spanish.
