Beyond Waste Prevention: Towards Circular Economy

From 09:30 until 15:09

 When and where?

14 November 2013 - Beyond Waste Prevention: Towards Circular Economy

The conference, co-organised by the Catalan Waste Agency and ACR+, took place on 14 November in Barcelona, gathering over 300 stakeholders who presented their point of view and shared their experiences.

In order to tackle the issue of waste prevention in the coming years, it is vital to consider the climatic and economic dimensions, working towards a circular economy and encouraging the Multi-R approach.

The workshop addressed different topics under three main themes:

The Climatic Dimension: Carbon footprint of the recycled materials, Food waste prevention.
The Economic dimension: Economic and legal instruments at European level, work on a resource-efficient society
Towards The Circular Economy: The Future trends and policies to reach the circular economy.

Each session was followed by a round table and questions were raised both from the audience and the speakers, creating an interesting debate.

15 November 2013 - ACR+ General Assembly 2013

The event is organised together with the Catalan Waste Agency.
