ACR+ members Brussels Environment and Brussels Capital Region organised the BeCircular annual meeting, on 12 September 2017 in Brussels. During this meeting, participants met, discussed and were inspired by circular economy initiatives in Brussels but also in European and at the international level. During this event, Brussels presented the first results of the Brussels Regional Program for a Circular Economy 2016-2020, 18 months after its launch.

To guarantee a successful transition to circular economy on its territories, Brussels Capital Region aims to team up with other regions and cities in Europe and work together to favour the emergence of new ideas and collaborations. Thus, representatives from other European cities and organisations - amongst which ACR+ members Zero Waste Scotland, Paris, WRAP, and OREE - were invited to present their actions. ACR+ delivered a speech on how collaborations between cities and regions regarding circular economy can concretely take shape.
