The PPI4Waste project is inviting its Purchasing Community to join this year’s Procura+ Seminar, taking place on 13 and 14 October 2016 in Rome, as a roundtable is organised there for its members.

They met last time in Bilbao in April as part of the state of the art workshop and procurers outlined specific interests how to make sustainable innovation a common practice in waste management.
Members of the purchasing community are offered the possibility to have an ongoing discussion during the Procura+ Seminar.

This PPI4Waste roundtable will take place on 13 October at 16:30 (Brussels time). It is titled ‘What’s waste worth? Innovation procurement in waste management’ and kindly hosted by Michiel Westerhoff from Circulus Berkel, who will explore with the participants key questions such as:

  • Is sustainable procurement of waste services more expensive?
  • What performance indicators are used for the measurement of sustainability?
  • Which organisational conditions and competences are helpful to get the desired result?
  • What is the relevance of scale and cooperation?
