The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) has established itself as a major awareness-raising initiative for issues related to waste and sustainable resource management. The current funding for the EWWR LIFE+ project will come to an end in June 2017 and therefore the project is looking for support in order to continue carrying on its mission to raising awareness about waste reduction, reuse and recycle.

A European Steering Committee (ESC) will be created, becoming the main decision-making body for the EWWR. The main responsibility of the ESC is to promote the EWWR and decide, for instance, on the communication strategy and the annual thematic focus. Both public and private actors are invited to be part of the EWWR Steering Committee and contribute financially or in-kind.

How to contribute? Find out here or e-mail the EWWR Secretariat at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for more information.

The first meeting of the ESC will be held on 17 May 2017 in Barcelona.
