ACR+ member the Catalan Waste Agency is calling for inputs for a project it is supporting, the Xarxa EMAS de Recursos i Reutilització project (Resources and reuse EMAS network) developed by the Catalan EMAS Club. This project, related to circular economy in EMAS registered organisations, aims to assess which materials currently considered as “waste” by the companies/business could be reused by charities, schools, artists and others in order to extend the life of materials/objects and optimize resources.

Indeed, one of the challenges which have been faced for already several years is that everything that comes out of a company is considered as waste and not a “product”. This view limits the capacity of reusing materials, because charities are not “authorized waste managers”.

The Catalan Waste Agency would like to know how other countries deal with this issue, and therefore kindly ask ACR+ members’ help by answering a short questionnaire of 5 questions. You can download the questionnaire here and send it back to Pilar Chiva (This email address is being protected from spambots. If you prefer to respond by phone, please send an email to Pilar Chiva to arrange a date and time for a phone call.

The Catalan Waste Agency and ACR+ thank you in advance for your collaboration.
