ACR+ is inviting you to its 1st Technical Working Group on the 1st February 2010, in Brussels.

 

Following the launch of the ACR+ European Decentralised Observatory of Municipal Waste Recycling Performances in September 2010 in Paris (www.acrplus.org/parisconf-2010), we would like to invite you to the 1st Working Group meeting (which used to be 21th December) on:

Tuesday 1st February  2011
(11h00 -17h00)
ACR+ Secretariat, 63 Avenue d'Auderghem, 1040, Brussels



This meeting will be held to discuss the Observatory in more detail and agree on the next steps. Specifically the meeting will:

  • Review the objectives and methodology for the Observatory
  • Agree on the deliverable  for 2011/12
  • Discuss the structure and functioning of the working groups and assign Co-leaders
  • Discuss the involvement of key organisations for participation (inter[national] statistical bodies and business federations)
  • Discuss on communication channels for the Observatory
  • Discuss funding opportunities
  • Discuss next steps and planning for the next working group meeting

In the meantime, and in order to prepare for the 1st working group meeting, if you have not alraeady done so, please send us existing information/data or report documents that you have for your city or region by Friday 14th January  2011, specifically on:

1. Production of municipal solid waste (kg/inh/year; total amount of MSW produced; composition analysis)
   
2. Recycling rate of municipal solid waste (capture rate per material and per collection source; amount sent for recycling)
 
3. Methodologies of data collection and presentation used in your organisation

Please use recent data (2007, 2008, preferably 2009) for this purpose. The above criteria will form the core part of this statistical analysis and overall research.
