On 16 and 17 March 2016 in Seville, the Circular Economy Foundation alongside ACR+ will co-organise an international conference “Now, the circular economy”. On the first day, the conference will open with key speeches highlighting the need to change to a circular economy, the European legal context and the role of local and regional authorities. Concrete cases from all over Europe will then demonstrate a selection of good practices on circular economy and governance at national, regional or local level. In the afternoon, panel discussions will give the opportunity to share expertise on the organic fraction and the construction and demolition sector. The next day will showcase examples of successful implementation of circular economy in various industrial sectors including; plastics, textile, and electrical and electronic equipment.

Registrations will open soon. Please note that ACR+ members will be granted free access to the conference.

The gathering of so many experts in Seville will also provide the opportunity to hold the fourth meeting of the Circular Europe Network. Taking place on 15 March just before the conference, this meeting will focus on how the various national and regional platforms on circular economy can cooperate. In addition, the meeting will include a workshop enabling the participants to co-construct guidelines on sustainable food strategies within a circular economy perspective. The meeting is meant for ACR+ members only and some specific circular economy platforms already collaborating with ACR+.
