Wallonie

In an interview given to newspaper La Libre, Carlo Di Antonio, Environment Minister of ACR+ member Wallonia has announced a few of the measures which could be part of the upcoming regional waste plan. Amongst the intended measures, he explained that he aims to efficiently fight against food waste. He also mentioned that the plan will most likely be called the Wallonia waste-resources plan since, as he explained, in 10 years people will realise that almost 100% of waste can be recycled. Carlo di Antonio also talked of reaching an 80% recycling rate in the near future and giving a second life to all objects destined to become waste through, for example, the fight against planned obsolescence.
