Two months after installing four eco-compactors and inaugurating the PlasTiPremia rewarding scheme, ACR+ member AMIU reached 250,000 plastic bottles collected. Since the end of 2020, 8 additional eco-compactors with greater capacity have been installed in other districts. Thus, Genoa holds an eco-record as the Italian city with the highest number of stations where to obtain rewards in exchange for plastic. The disposal of plastic containers has reached an average of 5,000 pieces a day.
