Zero Waste Scotland | Can the Circular Economy Save the Textile Industry?

 Zero Waste Scotland

Learn about sustainable textile design from an industry expert in the second of a series of full day Masterclasses for the textile industry run by ACR+ member, Zero Waste Scotland.

The Masterclass will be delivered by textile business guru Mark Shayler who will look at what circular economy really means; whether it has any application in the fashion industry; and what industry leaders are doing. The main circular economy design strategies will be introduced and how they do (or don’t) fit the textile industry will be discussed. Manufacturing strategies will also be explored to discover whether they help or hinder the design of products for a circular economy. In addition, a fresh perspective on the future of retail and broad consumer trends will be given, and delegates will be encouraged to participate throughout.
