ACR+ member North London Waste Authority held its annual conference North London Waste Prevention Exchange for the third time on 16 February 2017.

This year the theme of the conference was "The circular economy in a post-Brexit environment: the role of local government and business". During the event, circular economy experts from the UK and abroad explored how to better energise the circular economy in cities, whilst keeping costs and unnecessary bureaucracy to a minimum at the same time.

The exchange was divided into two sessions, with presentations in the morning and an optional workshop in the afternoon to capture the key factors to help the development of a circular economy in the capital city within the perspective of Brexit.  During the first session, ACR+ presented the Circular Europe Network to the participants and in particular its coming training activities as well as a series of examples of circular economy strategies in Europe. During the same session, a representative from ACR+ member Paris municipality presented the roadmap of actions to be implemented in the French capital city in the coming months.
