ACR+ at the World Circular Economy Forum 2024

ACR+ will participate in and provide coverage of the 8th World Circular Economy Forum taking place in Brussels from 15 to 18 April 2024, with the aim of translating circular visions into actionable steps

Two Thematic Working Groups (TWGs) have been created since ACR+ extended its activities to the Mediterranean in November 2012. The TWGs will make contributions to the “knowledge pool” of ACR+, especially in the MED area. They will bring in required knowledge, as well as institutional, financing and policy related inputs to respond to the needs of the Local and Regional Authorities.

TWG 1 "Management of priority waste flows"

The aim of the Group is to share experiences and good practices in the field of prioritary waste stream management, and more specifically concerning the role of local and regional authorities. The TWG1 will be composed of several parts, each of them addressing a specific waste stream and the challenges linked to it. The first meeting, held on 25 March 2013, dealt with the issue of plastic bags. The second waste stream (subject to be decided) will be tackled in 2014.
