Both ACR+ members Contarina and Rezero contributed and are featured in the new report “The state of zero waste municipalities 2020”, published by the Zero Waste Cities programme within Zero Waste Europe. This report is a recognition of pioneering zero waste municipalities.
In 2017, municipalities under Contarina’s jurisdiction produced just 56kgs per capita and recycled 85%. The new goal of the company is now to reduce residual waste to just 22kgs per capita by 2022. Rezero participated to the factsheet on zero waste cities in Spain, which mentions two ACR+ members, Catalonia and Navarra.
